Das Gebiet Sanierung Stuttgart 29 – Teilbereich Stöckach – erstreckt sich zwischen dem unteren Schlossgarten und dem Park der Villa Berg bis zur Hackstraße. Mit Hilfe von Sanierungsmitteln sollen hier die öffentlichen Flächen entwickelt und die Wohnsituation verbessert werden. Sowohl öffentliche als auch private Baumaßnahmen können mit bis zu 60 Prozent der Kosten bezuschusst werden.

Im Sanierungsgebiet liegen zum Beispiel der Stöckachplatz und das benachbarte Gelände der Hauswirtschaftsschule, aber auch der Kreisverkehr bei der Heilandskirche. Die Bürger sollen ihre Ideen einbringen und sich beteiligen. Eigentümer, Mieter und Pächter wurden bereits im Januar informiert, zu einer zweiten Veranstaltung am 27. Februar sind weitere Interessierte eingeladen. Sie findet ab 19 Uhr in der hauswirtschaftlichen Schule am Stöckachplatz statt. Bezirksvorsteher Martin Körner, Andreas Klöpfer vom Amt für Stadtplanung und Stadterneuerung und Martina Schütz vom Stadtteil- und Familienzentrum informieren über das Verfahren und Möglichkeiten der Beteiligung und nehmen Themen und Ideen aus dem Stadtteil auf. Es sollen themenbezogene Arbeitsgruppen gegründet werden.
