FDP hatte das Vorschlagsrecht
Im Bezirksbeirat Stuttgart-Ost steht wieder ein Führungswechsel an. Vor fünf Jahren hat die derzeit noch amtierende Bezirksvorsteherin Tatjana Strohmaier (CDU) das Amt von Martin Körner (SPD) übernommen, der wiederum fünf Jahre zuvor Bernhard Kübler (CDU) beerbt hatte. Doch aufgrund ihrer Stimmenverluste bei der Gemeinderatswahl müssen die Christdemokraten ein Bezirksrathaus an die FDP, die dazugewonnen hat, abgeben – und einmal mehr ist es der Osten, der abgetreten wird. Tatjana Strohmaier wird nach den Sommerferien offiziell aus ihrem Amt verabschiedet. 
Die FDP schlägt als künftige Bezirksvorsteherin Charlotta Eskilsson vor, die in Stuttgart-Mitte wohnt. Die Stadtgruppe Ost hätte zwar gerne den „Ostler“ Thilo Scholpp gehabt, konnte sich damit aber nicht durchsetzen. Der Gemeinderat muss den Vorschlag noch formal bestätigen.
